The SidecarTridge, which has evolved from a simple emulator for ROM cartridges into its own app platform, now works better with the Atari Falcon.
The update applies to the Multidevice Drives Emulator app. Version 1.2.0 of this app supports the Falcon: It can simulate hard drives and floppy drives, and the cartridge can also keep the system clock up to date at all times. ACSI hard drive emulation is no longer considered experimental. The Mega STE is no longer slowed down when using Multidevice.
SidecarTridge plugs into the ROM port. The module contains a Raspberry Pi, whose processing power is used for various functions, ranging from emulating a Cubase dongle to hard drive emulation.
