Papyrus 9 soon to be shipped

The office package Papyrus seems to be ready in its version 9 just in time for the Atari Park in Cologne. Currently, a final beta version is being optimised so that all orders for Papyrus 9 should be fulfilled by 05 November.

According to statements by R.O.M. Logicware, numerous user requests have been incorporated into this major update. And the advance announcements give cause for hope. For example, the database part has been extended to include multi-user capabilities for network operation. The text processing functions have been extended by frequently requested features such as reference notes and cross-references to tables, images, headings, free text passages and endnotes. The master page concept has been simplified and yet functionally expanded. Global master pages can now also be managed. Furthermore, an import and export option from and to MS Excel and other spreadsheets has been created for the spreadsheet and database sections. For all important topics, there are now wizards that guide you step by step through Papyrus, cookbook-style, until you have achieved the desired result. In addition, the sample and template document section for labels, books, scientific papers, business letters etc. has been greatly expanded.

Papyrus 9 is available for the operating systems TOS/MagiC/MiNT as well as Windows and OS/2 at a price of DM 299. An upgrade from version 8.x costs DM 89. Those who only want to buy the word processor Papyrus Word can do so for DM 199. The announced versions for Macintosh and Amiga are apparently still waiting.
